Katharine and Rohan’s Shiplake College wedding kicked off my 2016 wedding season and wasn’t it a great one to start with!
My day began at Katharine’s parents’ house, where she was getting ready. Along with photos of her shoes, flowers and gorgeous Provonias wedding dress, there was plenty of preparation action and much laughter to be recorded too. In fact I don’t think Katharine stopped laughing very much throughout the whole day.
Then it was on to their fabulous venue, Shiplake College, for the civil wedding service followed by a Hindu ceremony. The civil service took place in Shiplake’s Great Hall, which was also used for the wedding breakfast and the evening’s dancing. The weather was rather kind, allowing us to complete the group photos and Katharine and Rohan’s portraits before the heaven’s opened. Rohan and Katharine both had to make their way under umbrellas to the marquee for the Hindu ceremony. By the time that had completed though, the downpour had finished and the guests were able to make their way back to the main building in the dry.
Canapés and Prosecco kept the guests going until the wedding breakfast and speeches. Then to finish off the day, a live band provided the soundtrack into the night for the big party.
