Claire and Andrew’s Royal Chapel wedding took place at the end of October last year. The Royal Chapel is located in Windsor Great Park within the grounds of The Royal Lodge, the official residence of The Duke of York.
As well as having such a fabulous location for the ceremony, what made this a special day for me was that one of Andrew’s sons and his wife, and one of Claire’s sons and his wife are former clients. So this is a family that I have really got to know and there were so many familiar faces among the guests.
Following the ceremony Claire and Andrew took the scenic route from the chapel through the Great Park so that we could make a stop for their couple portraits. It certainly gave us some fabulous backdrops for their photos. From there it was just a short drive back to their home where a marquee had been set up in the grounds of their house for their wedding reception.
After the wedding breakfast the chef was introduced to the guests as it was his last evening working for the caterers and he wanted to say a few words. The rather jolly, wine swigging chef then insisted on singing for the guests. It was at this point the penny dropped that he was actually part of a group of singers booked by Claire and Andrew as some surprise entertainment and wow, they were good!
I’m not allowed to share any images on here taken in and around the chapel due to security concerns for the Royal family. Therefore the photos here on my blog have to pick up the story from after we had left the compound of the Royal Lodge.
