Ana and Philip chose Gosfield Hall as the venue for their amazing wedding. Set in the heart of the Essex countryside with extensive grounds, fabulous, ornate reception rooms and a bridal suite truly fit for royalty, you can see why this venue has won so many wedding industry awards!
My day began with Ana and the girls for their hair and make up preparations. These started in The Lady’s Chambers Cottage before transferring across to the beautiful bridal suite in the Hall itself. From there it was a very short walk to the ceremony room, in which a string quartet was waiting to play Ana up the aisle.
Following the ceremony the guests made their way out to the courtyard for champagne and canapés. After we’d taken the group photos, Ana, Philip and I left the guests for their portrait session. The building, grounds and gardens gave us so many fabulous backdrops to use for the photos.
After some time to mingle with their guests, everyone moved into the ballroom for the wedding breakfast and speeches. It was then on to the evening party to dance the night away. I did whisk Ana and Philip away from the party briefly for an evening portrait by the fountain. A closing portrait like this can make a perfect final image for the wedding album!
If you’re having a Gosfield Hall wedding and are looking for an unobtrusive photographer to capture all of those natural, magical moments of your big day, then please do get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
