Jennifer and Tristan had their sophisticated wedding at The Law Society in Chancery Lane. It’s a really fabulous venue with stunning rooms for the ceremony and reception and an amazing staircase that I just has to use for some creative portraits.
With both bride and groom getting prepared at the venue, I arrived there in plenty time to see their rehearsal with the celebrant. I then began with some photos of the venue, flowers and wedding rings. Jennifer and Tristan had spent a lot of time on the details for their wedding, including a personalised Lego character as a favour for every guest and a beautifully hand written seating plan, so there were plenty of images to be taken of those too.
After the ceremony we went for a short walk to The Inner Temple for the couple portraits . There were some stunning locations for the photos by Temple Church and in the surrounding area. We were on a tight schedule so after making the most of the best spots, we hopped into a cab for the journey back to The Law Society. It was then straight into the group photos which thanks to some great help from Jen’s sister and Tristan’s brother we got through very quickly. That allowed Jen and Tristan plenty of time to mingle with their guests before everyone was called for the wedding breakfast.
After the meal I whisked Jen and Tristan away to the staircase to get the silhouetted portrait. From the moment I first saw the staircase, that image came into my mind and it came out exactly as I had imagined!
I am based in Berkshire and cover weddings across the whole of the UK. I regularly photograph weddings in London and really love the variety of locations that London offers for the formal portraits. If you’re getting married and are looking for a wedding photographer, then do get in touch.
