Sarah and Mark are getting married in May next year. Their wedding service is in Beaconsfield with their reception nearby at The Tudor Barn.
We had a chat about when would be best for us to do the engagement shoot. Sarah and Mark said that they would really like an autumnal feel to the photographs. I suggested some locations and we agreed on Windsor. Windsor has a great mix of locations, from in town to countryside, all within walking distance of the town centre.
On the morning of the shoot I woke up to see large flakes of snow falling. Fortunately it didn’t settle and as the day went on it got brighter and by the time we met up the weather was perfect.
Often couples take a little while to relax in front of the camera. This is why I am such a fan of engagement shoots. They let couples get used to having their photos taken and we really get to know each other. The result is much better photographs on the wedding day. There were certainly no nerves for Sarah and Mark though, they were such naturals in front of the camera right from the start.
Our luck with the weather held right to the end but within minutes of finishing the sky went black and the heavens opened. We’d just made it back to the town centre so sheltered in a coffee shop and continued chatting about their wedding plans over hot drinks.
I think their wedding is going to be really fun and am so looking forward to it.
