What a day it was celebrating Steph and Aaron‘s magical Abbey House wedding! Their special day was the perfect example of how love, spectacular style, and a surprise herd of inflatable ponies can make for an unforgettable celebration. Even if Mother Nature decides to join in with an almost constant downpour!
The wet weather outside could do nothing to dampen the atmosphere inside Abbey House. The ceremony room was truly one of the most spectacular I’ve ever seen! It looked like a scene from a fairy-tale with elegant blossom trees lining the aisle. It made the most breathtaking backdrop as Steph and Aaron exchanged their vows and then as they were showered with confetti as they processed out at the end.
The evening kicked off with a brilliant singer getting the party started, followed by a DJ who kept the energy going. But the true highlight? Steph and Aaron had arranged for a herd of pink inflatable ponies to be deployed onto the dance floor for the song “Pink Pony Club”. That moment instantly ramped up the action and resulted in some of the most hilarious and memorable photos!
The near constant rain meant all of the portraits had to be an indoor or under-the-umbrella affair. But you know what? It made for some of the most romantic and atmospheric photos! The couple absolutely embraced the elements, and the results were simply beautiful. Our final closing portrait of the evening, taken with the couple under an umbrella and some strategically positioned lighting made a perfect, intimate end to their photo collection.
Steph and Aaron’s wedding proves that a little rain can’t dampen a beautiful celebration. Congratulations to the wonderful couple!
