What a truly magnificent day it was celebrating Olivia and Ryan’s Penrith wedding! From the stunning ceremony to the incredibly fun reception, their day was filled with sunshine, love, and unforgettable moments in the heart of Cumbria.
The day began with a beautiful ceremony at St Catherine’s Church in Penrith. This church is an architectural gem, it is absolutely stunning and provided the perfect, grand backdrop for Olivia and Ryan to say “I do.”
And speaking of grandeur, let’s talk about the exit! My top tip for any couple is that there is no such thing as too much confetti. Olivia and Ryan wholeheartedly embraced this advice. The result? We were treated to an absolute storm of confetti as they exited the church making for some spectacular photos.
It was then just a short, scenic trip to their reception venue: Long Acre Barn. This venue is an absolute dream, nestled out in the tranquil Cumbrian countryside. It felt so incredibly peaceful and private, giving Olivia and Ryan and their guests a wonderful, exclusive space to celebrate.
The sunny afternoon was packed with entertainment! The couple ensured guests were looked after with a number of fun games set up outside, including badminton. But the clear favorite of the day was Kan Jam, the incredibly addictive frisbee-based game!
Providing the perfect, relaxed atmosphere for the afternoon was a wonderful classical guitar player, whose music drifted gently over the lively scenes of games and mingling.
The evening featured some very moving speeches. It was a poignant moment as they remembered family members from Russia and Ukraine who, unfortunately, could not be there due to the current situation.
As the sun began to set, it was time for the show-stopping moment: the first dance! Olivia and Ryan took to the floor outside, and it was definitely the best-choreographed first dance I have seen in a very long time. It was clear that a huge amount of planning and practice had gone into their routine, and they executed it flawlessly. It was pure magic!
After setting the bar high with their incredible dance, the party moved inside the barn for the evening reception and dancing, ensuring the celebrations continued late into the night.
