It was such a pleasure to capture Natasha and Thomas’s Ashton Memorial wedding. What an amazing venue for the ceremony. Set in Lancaster’s Williamson Park, The Ashton Memorial has a massive wow factor and provided a magnificent stage for the wedding ceremony!
But my day began a bit earlier in the centre of Lancaster with Natasha for her preparations where she was joined by her mum and bridesmaids. It was so chilled out and definitely set the tone for the whole of the day that followed. Natasha getting into her dress was my cue to head over to the Ashton Memorial.
There was heavy rain as Natasha arrived but plenty of umbrellas were on hand to keep her dry for the few short paces up the steps into the building. And thankfully that was the last we saw of the rain for the rest of the day.
Following the ceremony Natasha and Thomas almost proved me wrong about there being no such thing as too much confetti. They had taken my recommendation to heart and there was literally a storm of confetti as they emerged from the building which made for some great photos. It was then time for group photos and couple portraits and I felt rather like a kid in a sweet shop, absolutely spoilt with so many stunning backdrops for us to use. But all too soon we had to leave the Ashton Memorial and take the short drive to Morecambe Golf Club for their reception.
With its fantastic sea views, the golf club provided such a perfect setting for the very relaxed reception. And we managed to fit in a few more photos here too, both on the golf course itself and also just across the road on the beach.
It was a truly wonderful day celebrating Natasha and Thomas. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness!
