Kamin and Chris’s Brocket Hall wedding really was one to remember. My day began with Chris’s preparations. The guys usually get ready later but Chris and his groomsmen had to be suited and booted early. This was to let them face the challenge of wedding door games. This Chinese tradition is a number of tasks for the groom and his groomsmen to complete. The bridesmaids set and judged the games which were performed just below the window of the room where Kamin was getting ready. Kamin could then keep an eye on the proceedings. The challenges ranged from various yoga (and verging on acrobatic) positions, Chris applying lipstick to himself and the guys whilst blindfolded, food and drink challenges, something to do with ping pong balls in tissue boxes tied around the waist (sorry I was too busy laughing and photographing to take in what the target of that one was) and finally serenading his bride.
The rest of the day continued in a much more traditional manner but with just as much fun and laughter. We had the amazing grounds of Brocket Hall at our disposal for Kamin and Chris’s portraits. Just so many stunning spots and backdrops, so thank you to the venue for the chauffeured golf carts to whizz us around. The day eventually came to an end with a spectacular surprise firework display. That certainly made for some great photos to close the set.
