Tori and Laurence’s Great Fosters Christmas Wedding took place on a bright and sunny but bitterly cold day last winter (yes I know, I have got rather behind with my blogging!). Great Fosters is such a wonderful venue for a Christmas wedding. They really don’t hold back with the decorations and I honestly lost count of how many Christmas trees I saw there.
I started the photography of the day by joining Tori at her flat to record her preparations. As well as the actual getting ready photos, it gives me a chance to photograph the details such as the dress, shoes, jewellery and flowers too. I then headed over to Great Fosters to meet up with Laurence and the guys and get some photos of them before the ceremony.
In spite of the cold, Tori and Laurence were keen to make as much use of the amazing gardens and grounds as we could for their portraits. We also got some photos of them with the classic Ford Mustang which had been used to bring Tori to the wedding. After this we needed to take advantage of one of the log fires burning inside to warm ourselves up before it was time for the wedding breakfast, speeches and then the fun bit, the party.
If you’re planning a wedding at Great Fosters and are looking for a photographer that has worked there before and has an unobtrusive story telling style, then do get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
