Laura and James’ wedding at The Great House at Sonning took place on New Year’s Eve. It was a great pleasure to photograph their wedding and to see in the New Year with them at the same time. They had such an amazing party!
The wedding ceremony itself was at the English Martyrs Church in Reading with the reception following at The Great House. The Great House is situated on the banks of the River Thames in Sonning and really is a fabulous venue for a wedding. We were very tight on daylight with it being mid winter, so as soon as we arrived at the venue we did Laura and James’ portraits and then the group photos. We just managed to get those completed before the daylight was over.
I stayed to photograph the party until midnight and was kept very busy. This group certainly new how to celebrate the combination of a wedding and New Year!
