Mayling and Tristan’s Stoke Newington Wedding took place at St Mary’s Church with the reception just over the road at Stoke Newington Town Hall. Mayling, her mum and her bridesmaids all got ready at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. The hotel has the most amazing staircase, so I had to use that for some portraits of Mayling before we left.
Mayling and Tristan wanted to have a second photographer for the day, so we were joined by my colleague Gemma. This allowed us to fully cover both Mayling and Tristan’s preparations and also to not miss out on those photos of guests relaxing and enjoying themselves whilst I was taking the bride and groom’s portraits.
We had a very heavy shower of rain at the end of the wedding ceremony, so we used the inside of their beautiful church for both the group photos and Mayling and Tristan’s portraits. From there it was just a very short walk across the road to the reception venue.
Mayling and Tristan had arranged a little surprise for their guests in the evening. Following their first dance, chart topping soul singer Omar came out onto the dance floor to sing and entertain the guests. This proved a huge hit with everyone! The dancing then continued into the night under the largest glitter ball in the UK.
