I delivered Maylin and Oliver’s beautiful Queensberry album of their Poundon House wedding just before Christmas. They choose a 14×10″ flushmount album with a royal blue leather cover. Royal blue leather was by far the most popular option for my clients’ wedding albums last year.
I work closely with my couples to ensure that their album is perfect. We start by meeting up after they get back from honeymoon to pick the images. This involves going through all of the photographs from the wedding, thinning down the set until we have their favourite images that tell the story of the day. I have some great software that we use to compare images and rate them as we go. I take this opportunity to make note of their very favourite images, so that I know which ones to make full page or at least larger within the layout. We also use this meeting to pick the cover material and colour, along with the cover motif or embossing and adding any other options such as the alternate page styles that Queensberry offer. After the meeting I will design the album layout. This is then placed in an online proofing tool to let the couple review and comment on each page layout, with me making any changes that may be required. Only when the couple is completely happy with the design will I send all of the data over to Queensberry in New Zealand to let their craftsmen take over responsibility for making my clients’ stunning wedding album.
