Maylin and Oliver’s Poundon House RAF wedding with it’s Chinese tea ceremony and military guard of honour really was one of the highlights of my year.
It was clear from the start of the day that the on-off showers were not going to be allowed to spoil anyone’s enjoyment and rather appropriately the day ran with military precision. The only slight change from the original plan was how we fitted in the formal photography. Due to a rain shower we did the group photos in Poundon’s dining room. It’s great to have a venue with both the space and a fabulous backdrop for indoor group shots. We delayed Maylin and Oliver’s portraits due to that same shower. With a very relaxed schedule to their day, we were able to postpone these until after their Chinese tea ceremony, by which time the rain had stopped and allowed us to make the most of Poundon’s beautiful grounds.
I’ve photographed many weddings at Poundon House. It’s one of the venues that I just love going back to again and again. If you’re planning to get married there, then Natalie or Alicia have probably already shown you my sample albums on display in the house. Do get in touch to find out more about my natural, unobtrusive style of wedding photography, I look forward to hearing from you soon.
