It was great to meet up with Katharine and Rohan for their Dinton Pastures engagement shoot. Apart from being rather chilly, the weather was perfect. Dinton Pastures is a country park just outside of Wokingham boasting a gorgeous mix of woodland and lakeside paths. So plenty of beautiful backdrops for me to use for the photos.
Most people are a little nervous about having their photograph taken by a professional photographer. For many of my couples the last time that happened was for their school portrait photos. I find engagement shoots are a great way to dispel these nerves prior to the wedding day. We’ll go to a lovely location and I’ll take a set of natural, relaxed portraits. They won’t be overly posed, I just get the two of you to relax and be yourselves.
Katharine and Rohan will be getting married in less than two months, so this shoot was perfectly timed for me to catch up on how the wedding plans were going. It also gave us the chance to chat about timings for the day and group photos. I really can’t wait for their wedding, it’s going to be a fabulous day with civil and Hindu ceremonies and is at a gorgeous venue on the banks of The Thames just outside of Henley.
I include an engagement shoot in all of my standard wedding packages. I can also offer stand alone engagement shoots, so if you’d like a lovely set of natural, relaxed portraits of the two of you then please do get in touch.
