Sadie and Simon’s Surrey wedding took place at Christ Church in Brockham Green. The weather for the day was perfect and they had picked a really gorgeous venue for the reception. It was in a lovely barn on a working dairy farm just a few minutes up the road from the church.
Sadie is an art teacher and put all of her artistic skills (and those of family and friends) to great use in the lead up to the wedding. Most of the decorations you’ll see in the photos below were home made and Sadie even made her own wedding dress!
I met up with Simon and his groomsmen at the church for a few photos before the ceremony. Sadie then arrived looking like a 60’s film star in a classic convertible VW Beetle. After the ceremony, a few group photos and the confetti, Sadie and Simon made the short journey to the farm in the Beetle. There we were greeted by the smell of roasting hog, which would be served for the wedding breakfast.
The grounds of the barn include a small lake, some woodland and open grassland which gave me plenty of stunning locations for the formal portraits. It also gave lots of space for the guests to mingle and the children to play. As you’ll see in the photos, a very good time was had by all!
I cover weddings in Surry, Berkshire, London, Oxfordshire and the rest of the UK. If you love the photos that you see here and would like an unobtrusive photographer to record your wedding, then please do get in touch.
