Jessica and Karim chose Poundon House as the venue for their Hindu wedding. Poundon is one of my favourite venues. There are so many great spots for there for creating a stunning set of wedding portraits. It also has gorgeous grounds for the guests to enjoy and the nicest marquee I’ve ever worked in. There’s certainly plenty of space in there for the wedding breakfast and evening party.
After their initial preparations, Jessica and Karim’s day really began with the civil wedding ceremony. This was followed by confetti on the lawn. I always say you can never have too much confetti and I suspect Jessica and Karim took this as a challenge. As you can see in the photo below, I think they had just the right amount.
Following group photos, drinks and a little mingling it was time for outfit changes and on with the Hindu ceremony. I love photographing Hindu weddings, there’s always so much going on and so many little details to record.
After the Hindu ceremony we got a few formal portraits in those outfits before Jessica and Karim changed back into the white dress and suit for the evening. At little more mingling, some more formal portraits in Poundon’s stunning grounds and it was time for the wedding breakfast.
After the very emotional speeches, there were some Mauritian dancers for entertainment before the cake cutting, first dance and partying, lots of partying!
