Caroline and Chris’s Northbrook Park wedding took place on the Saturday of the spring bank holiday weekend. The wedding had an extremely relaxed but elegant feel, so a perfect match for the fabulous venue.
Caroline’s preparations took place in one of the on site eco cottages, allowing me to pop out several times to also record Chris and his groomsmen preparing the reception room and getting themselves ready. The ceremony took place in the stunning Vine Room with its marble floor and crystal chandeliers. The room had been made to look even more impressive with the gorgeous wedding flowers from Eden Blooms which coincidentally coordinated rather well with Northbrook’s peacocks.
On the subject of the peacocks, I think they objected to not being the stars of the day so began honking very loudly just as the registrar asked if anyone present knew of any reason why Caroline and Chris couldn’t be married. It certainly generated a lot of laughter!
The party games provided for entertaining the guests proved very popular, with space hopper racing being the number one choice for the afternoon.
During the speeches Chris was given a very hard time from both his new father in-law and his two best men. I could almost have made up a blog post just of photos of him with pained expressions or trying to hide his face! For the sake of editorial openness I feel I should declare that the case of beer he has since given me as a thank you for my services on the day has in no way influenced my decision to include only one of those photos in this post!
The day then finished to dancing late into the night. DJ Marcus from Might Fine Entertainment did an amazing job to keep the dance floor so busy.
