This was my most intimate and musical wedding of 2013 and it was a really lovely one! Katie and Ioan get married on the Saturday before Christmas at The Cawdor Hotel in Llandeilo. Despite forecasts of heavy rain across much of the UK, the weather in South Wales was really kind to us.
Katie and Ioan are both keen musicians, so it wasn’t a surprise that music made up a big part of their day. There was a Welsh male voice choir to sing during the ceremony and who carried on informally in the bar of the hotel afterwards. Ioan’s sister is a professional violinist who plays for the National Opera and she also played during the ceremony. Then there was then a band to entertain everyone during the post ceremony reception and another band for the evening dancing.
The ceremony took place in Ty Horeb, the former Wesleyan chapel which is now part of The Cawdor. The gallery in the chapel gave some great viewpoints for photos during the service.
Following the service we popped out into streets of Llandeilo for the couple photos. It’s a gorgeous town overlooking some lovely Welsh countryside, so lots of gorgeous locations for some lovely portraits.
I’m a Berkshire based wedding photographer and shoot weddings across the whole of the UK. I have a very unobtrusive approach and combine creative, elegant portraiture with a documentary style to produce stunning images that record the moments and emotions of your special day. If you’re getting married and love the photos here on my website, then please get in touch.
