It was back in 2014 that I photographed Mary and Justin’s wedding. So I was delighted when they contacted me again this summer to let me know they’d had a son, Eli and to ask me to photograph his London Christening. Memories of their wedding came flooding back as the Christening took place at the same church that Mary and Justin got married, The English Martyrs Catholic Church in Streatham. It’s a very impressive building with fabulous architecture and lovely stained glass windows.
Eli was an absolute star throughout the whole of the ceremony. There were no tears or objections at any point, not even during the baptism itself.
Following the ceremony it was a 15 minute drive to the reception at Bensham Hall in Thornton Heath where a feast awaited the guests. Friends and family also had plenty of time to meet young Eli and to enjoy the party. The children really like the sweet table!
